Thickettes! UK has a THICKSATIONAL Movement!

The leading event for Curvy Models, Ms Curvaceous UK, will be taking place this year!
The event, created by Streamline Empire, is fast becoming one of the must see events of the year.

Ms Curvaceous UK aims to bring Curvy models to the forefront of the public eye, representing all the real women who are frozen out of the modelling world due to their unrealistic size restrictions.

The application process has begun at www.MsCurvaceousUK.com and has already been flooded with applicants from all areas of the UK. The auditions will be UK wide in a city near you starting on 20th March!

The Grand Final will be taking place in one of central London’s Prime Locations on 13th April at 229 The Venue, 229 Great Portland Street, W1W 5PN.
Tickets will be released for sale on 6th March!

Full Figured Fashion Week 2012 is Auditioning Plus Size Dancers for New York City Show

HERE ARE THE REQUIREMENTS

- MUST live in NY/NJ/CT area as rehearsals will be in NYC. Sorry, no exceptions

- Bring full length photo (photos will not be returned)

- Be prepared to perform a 1.5 minute routine of your choice

- Be sure to bring a CD with your music

- If you make the initial cut, please be prepared to return to the audition room and learn four 8 counts and perform it for our judging panel so that we can see how quickly you pick up choreography

- If you make the cut, the entire audition process will take approximately 2.5 hours so please plan to stay if you are chosen for Round 2.

- Auditions will be videotaped so bring your curvy girl “A” game and face.

- Dancers chosen to perform will be compensated.

THE FULLER WOMAN EXPO, THE LARGEST INTERNATIONAL EVENT DEDICATED TO CURVIER WOMEN WILL TAKE PLACE AT HOTEL ST. REGIS IN DETROIT, MI ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2009

Detroit, MI, August 19, 2009 ~ The Fuller Woman Expo is the largest international event dedicated to Curvier Women. Scheduled to take place on September 19, 2009 from 10 am- 8pm the Fuller Woman Expo offers a day full of empowerment while celebrating women’s courage, confidence and curves. Originally, scheduled to take place at COBO Hall, the large response to the Fuller Woman Expo has prompted a move to the contemporary yet classic, Hotel St. Regis in Detroit, MI.
The 3rd International Fuller Woman Expo will feature exhibits and workshops catering to women’s fashion, beauty, health, fitness, home, careers, financial planning, education and much more! Plus, appearances by major industry celebrities, an outstanding line up of premium speakers, fashion shows, free samples and prize giveaways. A portion of this year’s proceeds will be donated to S.A.F.E. (Sisters Acquiring Financial Empowerment).

During show hours, the event will host 3 workshops that includes a Foundation Garment Workshop presented by Jennene Biggins of Voluptuous Woman Company, Fit, Fun & Fantasy exercise techniques courtesy of Danielle Green of Vixen Fitness and Modeling 101 hosted by Plus Model, Mia Amber. This year’s keynote speaker is Life Coach, Delores Pressley.

Skorch Magazine is having a model search in Charlotte, NC this Saturday at Torrid in the Northlake Mall from 1pm-4pm.

SKORCH Magazine, the fashion-forward digital magazine for plus-size women that launched in 2007, has announced it will be going into print as a bi-monthly magazine. The first printed issue will be available December 1, 2009.
