Are we really shocked? Adele owned the Grammys last night! Not only did she take home every Grammy she was nominated for, but she won in the top 3 catergories: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year.
AND………
To put even more of these gimmick artist to shame, her performance was very simple but still AMAZING! Adele didn’t have any fireworks, no booty dances, no half naked bodies and still ROCKED the crowd with her beautiful voice. Now that’s talent when you can have the whole audience in aww and you’re not moving, you’re not screaming and you’re NOT doing 50,000 runs while you sing, but you just sing with pure vocals.
See it for yourself
THICKSATIONAL CLAPS FOR YOUR ADELE. YOU REPRESENT US WELL!
The night still belonged to the LEGEND Whitney Houston. LL Cool J hosted The Grammys, and I am so happy he did. He started off the show praying and thanking God for sharing Whitney with us…..LL is a classy man!
Jennifer did her tribute to Whitney singing “I Will Always”. Yeah I know that’s not the name of the song BUT the tribute was so short that’s all I remember. Jennifer did a good job and I know it was very hard for her to sing for her idol, however after her performance I think a nice montage of Whitney would’ve been perfect. I mean Jennifer’s Weight Watcher commercials last longer than the tribute!
Yes thickettes….this is Jennifer Hudson! She is now a size 6! Clearly she is no longer in the thick crew.
Anyhoo, Jenny is thinking about shaving her head……
“I am actually thinking about shaving my head,” the singer/actress reveals to InStyle Makeover magazine. “Because I feel I’ve got a good structure. … My cousin’s a beautician and she’s always saying, ‘You could wear any hairdo.’ So I’m thinking, what if I shave my hair? Not completely off, but low. I think that would be so hot. With my diamonds studs? But with a cut like that, your face has to be made up at all times.” (Source: ETonline)
Um Jennifer I don’t know about the shave look but hey do you.
What do you think about Jennifer’s new body and shaved head adventure?
Jen is the new Weight Watchers Rep! We knew she was doing something to lose but at least she is now getting paid to talk about her weight lost success!
I am in LOVE with her hair! Check out the video!
Thicksational Claps Jen! Don’t do it for Hollywood do it for you!
The Grammys aired yesterday and in my opinion the award show was……ok.
MJ’s kids came on stage to accept their father’s award.
I truly admire their strength and I know MJ is proud.
The MJ tribute was ok and once again another award show that gave an average tribute to the greatest entertainer. I need a tribute that’s going to make me moonwalk, and scream SHAMONE and HE HE!
BTW: According to MJ’s little brother Randy Jackson, the Jackson Family was not invited to the Grammys. WTH!
Clive Davis had his Grammy party and you know our thickette Jennifer performed.
I think the dress is cute but for some reason I was NOT feeling her hair…especially those bangs.
Now on to the red carpet…………
I love this dress! I personally would have taken off the cocktail waitress apron but she still looks thicksational.
Very chic! Thicksational claps to you Jen.
This is why children are dreaming to become reality show stars………
Look at the perks they get! Who knew being on a reality show could get you on the red carpet……smh.
My dear thickette Niecy……………..The dress was beautiful until you get to the bottom.
It looks like Gucci took the top half and the old lady down the street took care of the bottom.
Jennifer Hudson will perform at the White House in a “Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement”. The event will focus on music that captures the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement and takes place on Feb. 10th. PBS will air a presentation of the events activities on Feb. 11th at 8pm (EST)
Our thickette is constantly being asked to perform at the White House. You have to love that!
I’m not really into Christmas specials and Christmas Carols but I will watch to support our thickette.
Now on to this nonsense…..
Jennifer Hudson is playing the ex-wife of former South African President Nelson Mandela in a new film, but South Africans are not happy. The Creative Workers Union of South Africa said using foreign actors to tell the country’s stories undermines efforts to develop the national film industry. “It can’t happen that we want to develop our own Hollywood and yet bring in imports,” union president Mabutho Sithole said in The Citizen newspaper. Hudson, who scooped a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2007 for the musical “Dreamgirls [trailer],” landed the role of Madikizela-Mandela last month. The film will be directed by South African filmmaker Darrell J. Roodt, whose films include “Cry, The Beloved Country” and “Sarafina.” (Source: Boston Herald)
I don’t understand how ONE American actress can stop the progress of the South Africa film industry. I am pretty sure just like “Sarafina” and “Cry, The Beloved Country” there will be amazing South African actors/actress who will make the movie even more realistic. I think Darrell J. Roodt is smart to bring American and South African actors together.
