IS HOLLYWOOD THE SILENT KILLER?
Actress Brittany Murphy died yesterday at the age of 32. There are rumors spreading that Murphy was on prescribed drugs and was also struggling with an eating disorder. Of course no one has confirmed this but looking at the above picture when Brittany first burst on the scene in her movie “Clueless” compared to a more recent photo of her (below), she definitely lost a lot of weight.
With that being said after all of the celebrities we’ve lost within the past two years to things that could have been avoided (Michael Jackson, DJ Am, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy (possibly)), I can’t help but wonder…… is Hollywood the silent killer?
We have all heard stories about the stress and pressure that being in the entertainment business can bring, but at what point does society/media realize that these “celebrities” are still human beings?
These celebs are criticized about their physical looks and weight on a daily basis. While most will say that is apart of the business and you have to be prepared for it. I will say that some people in this business do NOT come into this industry with the only intentions to be famous. There are still people out there who have God given talent and were able to break into the business but that doesn’t mean they were prepared for the backlash. When they are not prepared for it I truly think that this is the end result, talented people gone too soon.
If Brittany’s autopsy comes back with drugs or malnutrition this will be another tear in my heart. We have to do better and stop putting so much pressure on people who eat, sleep, smile and hurt just like us.
What do you think thickettes and thick men? Do you feel there is too much pressure? What can we do to change it?

HEART OF THE CITY: YOU WANT US TO CHANGE?
I hope you were able to watch the Heart Of The City: Jackson yesterday because I am ready to talk
First let me say that my site is about encouraging full figure women to love themselves for who they are. At a size 14 or 34 you have to learn to love yourself and if you love yourself of course you will make sure you try to eat right and stay healthy.
Now back to this documentary….
Here’s my problem with these “obesity” specials….yes it’s great that they bring awareness to our community and want us to focus on staying healthy……
But guess what America……
EATING HEALTHY IS EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can almost guarantee that a lot of people who are obese do not have the resources to eat right. People like Star Jones who can afford to get surgery, a trainer and chef are very rare.
Also if and when you go to the grocery store, every healthy product in the store is MORE expensive than the processed/fatty foods.
So its easy for someone with money like a doctor or a psychologist to tell us we need to eat better, but most people are not going to make a decision on should they only get lean meats, fruits/veggies or should they pay their light bill this month!
Am I making excuses? No I am stating facts!
For example, there are certain areas in Jackson, Mississippi where people don’t have a grocery stores within 10 miles of their home and even if they do could they really afford to get the healthy food?
Unfortunately for most people its not that they don’t want to stay healthy its about survival. If I only have a minimum wage salary and I can get a bag of French Fries for 1 dollar vs a bag of Spinach for 4 dollars, most people with a tight budget are going to buy the French Fries.
Now can we still workout? Yes! I feel there is no excuse not to workout at least 3 times a week. You can walk around your neighborhood if you have to, as long as you are moving your body. However, if we keep putting junk in our mouths, are the workouts really helping?
So you want us to get healthy? You are so concern about us?
Here’s what you can do….
Build a grocery store in EVERY neighborhood..yes even people in low income areas need a grocery store dammit.
Give every morbid obese person a voucher every month so they can AFFORD to buy healthy food.
Have free health clinics in every neighborhood that teaches people how to eat & exercise the correct way.
MAKEÂ PHYSICALÂ EDUCATIONÂ MANDATORYÂ IN SCHOOL AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe this will start to create change instead of wasting our times watching these documentaries with people who make 6 figure salaries telling us we have to do to get better.
STOP TELLING US WHAT WE HAVE TO DO FROM A TV SCREEN AND BRING YOUR ASS TO THE COMMUNITY!

WHEN WILL THEY LEARN!!!!!!!!!
Here’s a video of Rosci from BET’s 106 & Park discussing her eating disorder.
Wow….very emotional…..it’s sad that society put this pressure on girls. It’s also interesting how so many little girls look up to women like Rosci. They like them because they have what society considers a “perfect figure” and a pretty face, but I truly believe that most women like Rosci are insecure about their body.
While people say that we as thick women/men are killing ourselves because of our weight, Rosci was doing more damage to her body and she is THIN.
People need to stop judging people’s outside appearance and judge everyone individually. As you can see from the video most people thought is was the thick girl who had the image issues. I personally believe that we don’t have a problem with the way we look. We are just frustrated with SOCIETY having a problem with our weight. Well society kiss our a**!
What are your thoughts?

THIS IS STUPID!
Most know by now that thickette Regina Benjamin is Surgeon General. If you take the time to read at least half of her bio you would know that Pres. Obama made an excellent choice.
Now you maybe wondering why I am bringing her up…well apparently even though she is perfect for the job, shallow people are more concerned about her weight.
Yes thickettes people are wondering if she should have the job because of her weight! (Source)
Society makes me sick sometimes. Now if she was a man would they think the same thing?
HELL NO!
As long as she is healthy who gives a damn. Why do people assume women who are thick are unhealthy. There are plenty of skinny people who aren’t healthy stop worrying about us and worry about YOU!

THICKETTES WHEN ARE WE GOING TO WAKE UP!
Foster was rushed to the hospital’s intensive care unit last Friday after going into cardiac and respiratory arrest during a liposuction procedure.
The life-threatening condition reportedly came on as the R&B star’s wife was being anesthetized.
According to G1, doctors at the hospital placed Raymond in an induced coma for 24 hours to stabilize her. She is currently in recovery.
While Usher quickly, andrelatively quietly, canceled his Grammy weekend appearances to be by his missus’ side, G1 reports that he and his mother likely had company during their flight to Brazil. Dr. Gabriel E. Hunt Jr., a neurosurgeon from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, is said to be down in São Paulo to lead Foster’s care.
Hunt was seen leaving the hospital on Monday, but he did not comment on the situation. (Source)
