The Hilarious Stage Play “BIG GIRLS GOTTA EAT, TOO!” Takes on Atlanta June 2-5

Micah 6:8 Media, LLC brings together an amazing cast of talent to share their stories of Pain, Laughter, and Truth, headlined by Reality TV Star Kim “Poprah” Kearney

Co-writer’s Melissa Blackmon and Wanda Simmons were just sitting around having a girl’s

night out when one of them made a profound statement “BIG GIRL’S GOTTA EAT, TOO!” and birthed the most ingenious creation to hit off-Broadway stages. This hilarious, heartwarming, honest stage play is thought of as For Colored Girls meets Vagina Monologue, with a serious cast of the most beautiful and intellectual full-figured women in the world. Each of them tells their side of the story like none other could. Grab your tissue and hold your belly because rivers of emotions are going to flow uncontrollably at the astonishing words that will be coming out of the cast’s mouths.

There will also be some testosterone on stage, handsome too! Because of the magnificent performances by each performer; there isn’t one Star in the show, just beauty and wisdom. However, there is a notable headliner many have watched in action on VH1’s hit reality show series “I Want to Work for Diddy”; Kim “Poprah” Kearney. Poprah is going to show us what she’s truly made of as she lets us in on some Big Girl secrets with her straightforward, brassy, in-yourface delivery of her character. The entire cast donning names like Candy, Butter and Cookie, also delivers dynamic monologues giving us the inside scoop about real issues they have faced and how they overcame. Toni S. Henson, renowned stage director and CEO of Micah 6:8 Media, LLC, (a local private entertainment company) directed the play, bringing her vision and talent to Atlanta by way of Princeton, NJ, where she was Executive Director of an acting academy for a number of years.

Supporters will have five opportunities to enjoy a night out to see “BIG GIRLS GOTTA EAT, TOO!” at “The Fabrefaction Theatre”, located at 999 Brady Ave in Mid-Town Atlanta. Each night has a theme, making the audience unable to decide which night they want to come, deciding to make multiple shows. Opening night will be Thursday, June 2, Big Girl’s Night Out Dinner & Show at 6:30pm for $35 or the show only for $20 (show starts at 8pm), Friday, June 3, Love Big Girls Cocktail Party & Show for $20 doors open at 7pm show starts at 8pm, Saturday, June 4, starting at 12 noon enjoy the Compliment Your Curves, Shopping Fair with vendors and exhibitors (free admissions), matinee at 2pm and then a night show at 7pm each for $20. The Big Finale will be on Sunday, June 5,  Big Girls are beautiful, Paparazzi Event, (meet & greet the cast), doors opens at 2pm with lights out and curtains opening at 3pm admission $20.
