Toccara was a strong contender in the beginning, but ANTM was not ready for a thicksational model. Toccara was eliminated from the show but her career took off. She is considered one of the most successful ANTM’s contestants.
Toccara’s appearance on Cycle 3 broke down barriers so the judges and the world could accept the first plus size model to win ANTM.

She was the first thicksational model to win ANTM but she will not be the last. Thicksational models are taking over the world!

“Growing up there weren’t a lot of actresses and singers that looked like me,” says the New York born-and-bred actress. “There were no real times that I thought maybe I can do it, until Mo’Nique came along. She’s a plus-sized woman who didn’t care about one day being skinny. All my life I’ve been hearing that I’ll never amount to anything until I am skinny. She disproved everything that everyone has ever told me.”
