I thought Joyce from NC said it takes a year for it to be final. So to me it sounds like you can file but have to be seperated for a year then it will be final.

We all have our different opinions and yes we all live in different states with different laws but I guess in my mind the main point was to not mess around while you are still married or messing with someone who is married.

Some of the words he used I didn't agree with but everybody expresses themselves differently.

What I took from the video is their are morals & values on marriage and when you are married it is your responsibility to handle your situation accordingly. Now am I to judge how you handle it no...but I give my opinion on how I would deal with the situation.

Let's face it we know when someone makes excuses or give us the same BS all the time when it comes to their divorce or whatever. We know when something doesn't sit right with us and there are a lot of people who claim to be divorcing but truly are pretending to go through the process.

How long a divorce takes depends on many factors, including the state, the parties involved, whether there are kids, assets, etc.

To clarify what the poster from NC said... you have to be SEPARATED for 1 yr before you can even file for divorce in NC. If there are no issues, no one contests, etc, it will take 60 days to finalize. If there are issues - spouse lives in another state, can't agree on what to do w/ joint property such as a house, other assets, kids... it takes AT MINIMUM an additional year to go through litigation simply due to how crowded the courts are... so, to suggest that every divorce can be done in 90 days and no more than a yr is false.

I think he has some valid points in this video.

1) His message really isnt about the time it takes to divorce someone but messing with someone who is a)married or b) if you're married.

2) Most of this is opinion based but as a married woman, I agree that you should not cheat on your spouse.

3) Unless you've been married, you really don't know what that person is going through, has been through and to label them a ho is seeing the issue as black and white.

4) Yeah, adultery is a sin but so is fornicating and so many other things that people (married and single) do. No sin trumps the other because wrong is wrong and right is right.

In NC, it takes 1 year before the divorce is final. You have to live apart for 1 year before the divorce can be granted.

If anybody is offended they are guilty. I agree you should never start another relationship while you are in a marriage. its a vow to God period! you made the choice to marry that person so if it takes 3 years for the divorce to be complleted then you have to deal with it. You can get to know somebody during the process but to have sex with them and plan a "future" wrong but this is also coming from a Christian perspective.

This is a sensitive subject and everybody will have their own opinion. I do not agree with everything he said but I do agree with him on certain things. As far as him drinking..........there are plenty of people who can drink and they may not be "drunk". He seems very coherent to me he maybe country but you can still understand him. Drinking that day in my opinion has nothing to do with some valid points that he brings up....but once again everybody has their own opinion.

First of I feel like I wasted ten minutes of my life listening to his drunken drivel. But on to some of his points most of which are simply his opinion. When it comes to divorce it depends on the state as to how much time it takes. For example in Arkansas once the papers are filed if one party disputes things it can take 3 yrs for the divorce to be finalized. A lot more than 90 days.

As for starting one relationship before ending another, if a marriage is truly at its end and the person tells the truth to anyone they get involved with then their will be no issue.

With that being said I need to listen to something else to burn this uneducated drool from his mouth from my brain. Ugh.
