CLAP OR SLAP: STRIKE 3?

Filed under: Clap or Slap, Gabourey Sidibe — Tags: — Krys Nicole @ 7:15 am

Here’s Gabby at the Hollywood premiere of Precious.

I don’t know about the outfit…could this be strike 3 for her stylist?

Check out the make up and hair…..

Hmmm I don’t know….what do you think clap or slap?

  1. the color is striking on her. I think her makeup is lovely, the hair, though a bit old fashioned is healthy looking and soft-nice. The underpinnings for the garment are all wrong. She wasn’t smooth under the dress which is essential to wear that type of fabric. I woul dhave styled her in a loose draping across the top in a softly printed garment. I think this is a good effort, however.

  2. A+ for the dress! F- for the hair, it ages her by at least 5 to 10 years.

  3. SLAP! The dress does not compliment her shape well because it seems as if the fabric is just to clingy and not cut right. The color looks nice on her but she would have looked much better is something a little more youthful!

  4. Clap on the makeup though!

  5. I agree with the first comment that a looser fitting dress may have been in order. The only thing is that she’s tried the looser fitting direction and that ages her also. I actualy like the dress on her because despite the poor undergarments, it flatters her more than anything else we’ve seen her in. It actually looks like the undergarments are too tight in an attempt to create a more defined waistline. As for putting her in a print….that’s daring. Sometimes prints that look beautiful in person, doesnt translate the same way on camera. Overall, I give it a clap, mainly because I’m starting to see an improvement.

  6. Her er own beauty that shows through, and the hair and makeup did a nice job of highlighting that. However, whoever is styling her needs to stop immediately. Surely with all of the fabulous plus size clothing around, they could have done better for her. I am thinking of something by Kiyonna or Igigi or Anna Scholz. Anyone at those companies could have fit her and outfitted her beautifully.

  7. I think it is definitely a slap more than 3 times for her stylist. None of the outfits nor colors compliment her in a positive way at all. Just because you are bigger than the average woman doesn’t mean you can’t keep it Absolutely Fabulous!

Hey Come see me Gabbie or better yet I’ll come see you. Styling is my thing girl and I do it well!

  8. HELP!! Fire that stylist ASAP before the Oscars.
Piss Poor! I say we rally together to help dress her before Award season hits cuz this will not work!!
First of you have to smooth out the dress, cameras show ever roll and altough we love them, they must be in tact.
