Cecelia Peniston was born in Dayton, Ohio and moved to Phoenix, Arizona at the age of nine. She attended Trevor Browne High School in Phoenix and later took to entering beauty pageants where she was crowned Miss Black Arizona in 1989. CeCe’s music career began in 1990 when she signed to A&M Records and got her initial exposure doing featured vocals on Phoenix female rapper Overweight Pooch’s 1991 single “I Like It”.

Among the list of those who have personally requested Peniston at private engagements are Aretha Franklin at her private birthday celebration in Detroit, Michigan, Pope John Paul II in Rome at The Vatican, and President Bill Clinton at both of his inauguration ceremonies in Washington, D.C.

Co-owner and designer Julie Thomson states, “I think most women can relate to buying a necklace and bringing it home, only to find that instead of draping across their chest, it fits like a choker. Not to mention how hard it is to find a bracelet that fits.”

Pfatty Girl offers a refreshing change for the 54 per cent of curvaceous women across the continent that enjoy looking and feeling their best. A celebration of size and sexiness is what wearing a Pfatty Girl creation is about.

Okay so I hope you watched “More to Love” last night on FOX. I am very happy that we have a show that represents thick girls, however there were certain things that made me wonder who was behind the scene while making this show, us or skinny people thinking this is who we are and what we want.

Let me break it down for you….

In the beginning of the show I was quite pleased. Here’s a thick man who has is own business and is ready for the right thicksational woman to settle down with. ALL of the thickettes had beautiful outfits and their make up was flawless.

HOWEVER!

1. I have NEVER seen a dating show that displays the persons weight and height! WTH! This is not the Biggest Looser and if the man is suppose to love thicksational women for WHO they are and not their size then there is NO reason for their weight and height to be placed on the TV screen for the world to know. Major points deducted when I saw that BS.

2. “HELP ME I’M FAT & SINGLE!” BOO HOO CRY CRY! As usual the show turns into sympathy, feeling bad for the “big” girl. Damn near every girl cried their eyes out last night giving their plea of never being on a date and how they don’t want to be alone. Well here’s an idea STOP THINKING SO NEGATIVE! If you constantly think that way the negative energy comes back and yes you will find yourself alone. Real men don’t want a woman who constantly thinks negative of herself. CONFIDENCE IS KEY.

3.  Also where was the diversity? Did the producer of this show forget we have Asian, Latina and Black thickettes? Some of the women looked so much alike I couldn’t tell them apart.

4. THICK vs. THICK drama hell no! One of the girls called another girl an Otter! That’s the last thing we need is a show that seems like we have hate for each other!

I will give the first episode of “More to Love” a C.

Also remember thickettes even if you’re disappointed with some of the things they had on the show, we still have to support. We are always complaining about not having shows cater to us and we finally have one. It may not be the best but its a start and if we don’t support they will think we are not marketable. SO PLEASE WATCH!

NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN CHRIS BROWN WANTS TO APOLOGIZE.

Here’s what I think.

In my opinion his apology was SO FAKE.

You can tell he didn’t write the speech AND you can also tell he was reading from some DAMN CUE CARDS.

This is not an audition for a movie Chris you beat a woman a**!

My theory….after BET played him for the MJ tribute he decided before anybody else gives a tribute he better apologize so he wont miss out on other opportunities.

Now I defended him after that sorry a** BET Awards Tribute because regardless of what he did as an artist he is the closest thing we have to MJ right now.

BUT!

After this rehearsed apology I don’t know what to say about him.
