DOWN LOW = GAY! I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU SAY!
This book is starting to piss me off! At first I thought this book was a “must have” because I was curious to know what male celebrities are on the DL. However the more I read this book the more I want to throw it in the fire and watch it BURN! I am having a problem reading about these down low men. I think being on the DL is just SELFISH! Terrance Dean shares some pathetic “rules” and “philosophies” that down low men have that I find very disturbing and I wanted to share them with you.
“…..as down low men we have girlfriends and wives but still sleep with men. Some down low men consider themselves monogamous if they only sleep with one man, even though they may be sleeping with several women, but not with another man. Being with another man-now, that’s cheating and disrespectful. I should be the only man that you are with.
Ain’t this some ISH! So if a down low man is in a relationship with a man and if he decides to sleep with several women it’s not cheating but if he is with a man outside of his relationship that’s cheating. Hmmmm sounds like DL men are selfish and full of ish!
“We often separated ourselves from openly gay brothers, or those who were suspect. They didn’t have anything to lose. Everyone knew they were gay. They were always on the hunt to out down low brothers. They made it their mission to find out who might be hiding because it made them feel like they were in the know and that they had something in common with the down low brother. Once they uncovered the secret, they didn’t mind sharing this information with anyone who would listen especially women.”
So openly gay men have nothing to loose because they are accepting that they’re gay and you’re not? I am pretty sure a lot of gay men would have a problem with that statement. I don’t blame them being on the hunt to find out if you are gay. ATTENTION TO OPENLY GAY MEN PLEASE HUNT THESE DL MEN DOWN AND YES PLEASE TELL THE WOMEN. WHY? BECAUSE WE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW! ALSO I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU DL “MEN” REGARDLESS ON WHAT YOU SAY YOU DO HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON WITH A OPENLY GAY MEN BECAUSE YOU ARE GAY ACCEPT IT DAMMIT!
“My girl thinks I’m cheating on her with another woman. She’s right about the cheating part, but she’s not asking the right question.” “I learned a very valuable lesson from him. If you don’t ask a man the right question, you’ll never get the right answer.”
“As long as I’m not with another girl, I’m not cheating.” “I am the receiver so I am not doing anything wrong. I am not the giver. Nothing about these acts makes us gay.”
These last two statements made me FLIP. You can’t possibly love your wife or girlfriend if you can’t be honest with her. Cheating is cheating and just because she doesn’t ask you if it’s a man or a women you are cheating with, you hold information from her that could put her life in danger? The reality is most of these down low men do not wear protection because using protection gives them time to realize what they are doing and they start to feel guilty.
Well here’s some advice to DL men:
If you are “receiving” or “giving” guess what YOU ARE GAY!
If you have a relationship with a woman but have sex with a man guess what YOU ARE GAY!
If you are kissing a man, having four play with a man but haven’t had sex with a man………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
I don’t care YOU ARE STILL GAY!
Terrance gives some explanation as to why a DL man feels he can never come out and admit he is gay. I personally think these explanations are EXCUSES. Why hurt and destroy a woman that you claim you love in the process of you hiding? Their are plenty of women out there that DL men could date or marry who might find this nonsense attractive or acceptable but instead they pick the innocent woman who assumes she is getting a honest and loyal straight man. I DON’T FEEL SORRY FOR DL MEN AT ALL AND I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THEM!
