Ms. Jackson turns 42 today! When people think of Janet Jackson the majority will think of her seductive moves and flat stomach. However I remember the 80’s Janet!

In 1986 Janet released her third album Control and back then, Janet was a THICKETTE! I became a fan when I saw her video Control. To see an artist who was not the average size and could dance and sing better than her competitors was inspiring.

Presently Janet is not a thickette but in my eyes she will always have a membership! Happy Birthday J!
