Jasmine is a fresh young face in the modeling industry with a modern and versatile look relatable to many women of all ethnicities.

After having the opportunity to play Softball on a full athletic scholarship at the University of Massachusetts (in Amherst) and graduating in 2005 with a bachelors degree in Sociology, she set out to experience something new and exciting.

During the fall of 2005, while working at a local Lane Bryant in Queens and taking notice of the full-figured beauties gracing the walls and windows, Jasmine became completely inspired to try her hand as a plus size model.

In February 2006, she booked her first major campaign and was featured as one of the Spring ’06 faces for nation wide retailer Ashley Stewart. Since that time, her career has included print, runway and television. She has been featured in Essence Magazine, Latina Magazine, and has been broadcast on various television segments for popular Latino entertainment on Univision and Telmeundo. In the Summer of ‘07 she was an Ashley Stewart face for a second time and has worked multiple Ashley Stewart fashion shows throughout the year. Most recently Jasmine will appear in the New 2008 FLAWLESS Calendar showcasing her gracious curves.

Raven Symone’s fans are upset due to her lack of excitement and promotion for her own projects. Her largest fan site has shut down and here’s his statement:

The time has come for me to personally close the site. We were at the top of our game and I cannot be more happy with the way the site had gone. The members were all so loyal. However I made the decision to close the site based on this past year. This was supposed to be the best year for Raven professionally and she wasted it!

The movie did great, she promoted I couldn’t have been happier, I got to meet her and even though she was very standoffish it completed my goal of wanting to meet her.
The whole album deal just infuriates me! She had a great album and she refused to do anything with it. She ended up selling only 4,400 copies!!!! That is a huge flop.
She did zero promotion and didn’t acknowledge it on her OWN official website which showed little to no care for this album which is sad.

What just did it for me was her management team, we were told we would get an interview for the website 4 months ago… then it comes time for it and they decide we don’t need it. Cause raven is so busy right? All the promotion we did online for years was nothing but free promotion for them. I am done supporting someone who just doesn’t care about her projects.

I wish all the fans well and as for me, I have finally moved on…

Wow! I’ve met Raven before and she was a very sweet girl………………on the other hand she was also 7 years old. I hope they can work this out.

The Sex And The City movie premiered last night in New York City and our Thickette Jennifer Hudson looked simply THICKSATIONAL!

Thicksational Legend Patti Labelle is 64 today and she doesn’t look a day over 40!

Patti has had a successful career for over 40 years! She fronted two groups, Patti LaBelle & the Bluebelles and Labelle. She is best known for her passionate stage performances and wide vocal range. Patti is Thicksational because she does not miss a beat from her stage performance to her fabulous wardrobe and her flawless makeup. I pray that I will look as good as Patti at 64! Happy Birthday Patti!

Thicksational Diva Frenchie Davis and our Thicky Man Ruben Studdard will share the stage for a revival tour of the classic Broadway musical ‘Ain’t Misbehavin.’

The musical is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and the revue is scheduled to kick off Nov. 17 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA.

The Bad Girls Club reunion was interesting last night. Thicksational Brooklyn Chic Tanisha was about to catch another case because Lyric (the no talent rapper who left after 2 weeks) said Tanisha was one cheeseburger away from being obese.

Now if you watched this season you would know if someone used fat or obese in his or her vocabulary, Tanisha was about to “BRING IT SON and POP OFF”! However, do you get to a place in your life where you refuse to let those words affect you anymore? Of course, if a person is disrespectful then it is only appropriate to put them in their place but to get physical serves no point. WE ARE ADULTS AND WE ARE TOO CUTE TO FIGHT! It was obvious that Lyric wanted to get an ignorant reaction out of Tanisha. Tanisha thought she won the battle by getting in her face but when someone takes you out of your peace of mind then you have allowed that FOOL to win.
